BELCHERTOWN, Mass. (AP) — Prosecutors have dropped two of three charges against Massachusetts sophomore center Cady Lalanne that stemmed from a dispute with police at a campus dance. Charges of resisting arrest and assault and battery on a police officer have been dropped at the state's request, while a charge of disorderly conduct was converted to a civil charge, and Lalanne was fined $150. The Republican of Springfield (http://bit.ly/V4NFr6) reports that the case was resolved on Jan. 7 and is now closed. Lalanne was suspended for 12 days following his arrest Dec. 1. Police alleged Lalanne interfered when his friend was being removed from a dance. He missed just one game. Lalanne is averaging 6.1 points and 6.2 rebounds for the 11-4 Minutemen.
