The balls for the Final Four used to be leather.

Those are now made with a moisture-absorbing composite leather cover layer after players complained the previous balls because too slick in game conditions (in other words, when they sweat).

Wilson designed the balls with a compositve channel and a softer sub-layer so they have better "gripability," a softer feel and offer more control.

There will be 30 balls in play for the national semifinals on 30, with two chosen as official game balls. An additional 30 balls will be used for the title game, again with a game ball and a back-up.

The balls come ready to play out of the box, but are used in practices and pre-game warm-ups.

The balls are good. The rest is up to the players.
