(AP) — Stacy Davis had his third double-double of the season with 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Pepperdine overcame a 12-point deficit early in the second half for a 54-47 victory over Portland on Saturday night. The key sequence for the Waves (9-6, 1-1 West Coast) was a 12-0 run that enabled them to tie the game at 39 with slightly less than 9 minutes left in the game. Freshman walk-on guard Austin Mills led the charge by scoring the first seven of those points. Jordan Baker had 10 points and nine rebounds for Pepperdine. Oskars Reinfelds led Portland (7-10, 0-2) with 11 points, and Derrick Rodgers scored 10. Portland had a 43-38 rebounding advantage.
