RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina State coach Mark Gottfried says he has spoken with freshman T.J. Warren about his decision to retweet a critical comment from a former teammate and that the team is moving on.

Warren retweeted former Wolfpack player Thomas de Thaey's post referring to Gottfried as a "great recruiter but a terrible coach" after the 18th-ranked Wolfpack lost at Wake Forest on Tuesday.

Warren later deleted it and tweeted that it "wasn't no jab at my head coach."

Gottfried said Friday he wouldn't ban his players from using Twitter, adding "sometimes you learn the hard way that things travel fast and quick."

De Thaey was a sophomore reserve averaging less than a basket per game for his career when he left the program in November.
