RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — North Carolina State coach Mark Gottfried says he doesn't know if point guard Lorenzo Brown will be ready for Thursday's trip to No. 4 Duke. Brown sprained his left ankle during last week's loss at Virginia, then sat out of Saturday's home loss to Miami. Brown spent the days following his injury in a walking boot, though he shot around during pregame warm-ups in an attempt to play against the Hurricanes. Gottfried said Monday that he thought Brown was still "a few days away" after the Miami game. Brown is a preseason all-Atlantic Coast Conference pick averaging 13 points and a league-best 6.9 assists. He had started 59 straight games. The losses knocked the Wolfpack (16-6, 5-4) out of the Top 25 for the first time this season.
