NEW YORK (AP) — Juan'ya Green scored 18 points, 11 in the final 6:19, as Niagara defeated Manhattan 60-56 Sunday, ending the Jaspers' four-game winning streak. A layup by Tahjere McCall with 7 minutes remaining broke a 43-43 tie, and Green followed with a pair of layups to give the Purple Eagles (16-11, 12-4 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) a six-point lead. Green's 3-pointer with 45 seconds to play gave Niagara a 56-49 advantage. Marvin Jordan scored 16 points, including 4 of 8 3-pointers, for the conference-leading Purple Eagles. Donovan Kates scored 14 points for Manhattan (10-16, 8-8), his fifth straight game in double figures, and Rhamel Brown had 12 points, eight rebounds and four blocked shots. In the first meeting between the teams this season, won 64-60 by Niagara, the Purple Eagles were awarded 49 free throws and made 38. This time they got to the line just nine times and made eight.
