GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) — A University of Great Falls basketball player set a school single-game scoring record in helping the Argos to a 73-71 victory at No. 18 Westminster College.

Junior guard Marcel Towns of Tempe, Ariz., scored 43 points Thursday in UGF's 73-71 win in Salt Lake City. The old mark of 42 points was set by Mike Geniessee in 1971.

Westminster coach Adam Hiatt says Towns took some tough, contested shots and they went in.

Towns has scored more than 1,000 points in his UGF career.

The Argos are scheduled to play at Montana Western on Saturday night.
