ROCK HILL, S.C. (AP) — New Winthrop men's basketball coach Pat Kelsey is adding two coaches to his staff, including the son of the late Skip Prosser. Kelsey announced Thursday that Mark Prosser would be joining his staff, along with Brian Thornton. Mark Prosser was an assistant at Wofford when the Terriers won two Southern Conference tournament championships and played in the NCAA tournament in 2010 and 2011. He was also helped lead Bucknell to two NCAA appearances. Mark Prosser spent last season as head coach at Brevard College. His father was the head coach at Wake Forest when he died in 2007. Kelsey, who took the Winthrop job last month, was a former player and assistant coach for Skip Prosser at Xavier. He left his job as a Xavier assistant in 2011.
