SEATTLE (AP) — Isiah Williams led Utah Valley with 19 points to help the Wolverines to an 84-74 win over Seattle on Friday night.
It was the second time in six days that Williams punished Seattle. He scored 22 points during a 77-72 Utah Valley win in Orem, Utah, on Jan. 7.
Keith Thompson scored 18 points for the Wolverines (9-10). Alfonzo Hubbard added 14 points and Geddes Robinson 11 points and 13 rebounds.
Seattle (3-12) was led by Aaron Broussard's 20 points and 13 rebounds. Sterling Carter scored 11 points.
The Redhawks have lost 10 of their last 11 games.
A fast-break layup by Williams pushed the Wolverines in front 71-57 with 5:01 remaining. An alley-oop from Holton Hunsaker to Thompson followed.
After harassing Washington into 16 turnovers on Tuesday, the Redhawks were not as successful against Utah Valley, which turned the ball over 14 times.
Seattle shot just 29.5 percent in the second half.
Back-to-back 3-pointers from the left wing by Thompson capped an 18-3 first-half run for Utah Valley. The Wolverines were 6 for 8 from the field during the stretch to open a 31-15 lead.
A 10-0 run following the timeout moved the Redhawks back into the game. Broussard made two free throws, Jarell Flora and Cervante Burrell scored layups, and Carter hit a 3-pointer.
Carter hit another 3-pointer just before the halftime buzzer to pull Seattle within 42-37.
Utah Valley shot 60 percent during the first 9:15 of the first half, but shot just 17.5 percent the rest of the half, allowing Seattle back into the game.
