MORAGA, Calif. (AP) — Garrett Jackson had a career-high 24 points to lead Saint Mary's to a 78-52 win over Morgan State on Tuesday night.

Jackson, who made all three attempts from long range, hit 10 of 11 field goals and pulled down nine rebounds. Kerry Carter had 15 points, Brad Waldow added 14 and Desmond Simmons grabbed 12 rebounds for Saint Mary's (12-3). Aaron Bright also had 10 assists.

The Gaels, who have outrebounded every opponent this season, won the rebound battle 42-21. Saint Mary's made 33 of 58 field goal attempts (56.9 percent), while holding the Bears to 19-of-54 shooting (35.2 percent).

A strong defense helped Saint Mary's build an early lead and the Gaels led 36-25 at the break. Bright and Jackson hit consecutive treys to start the second half with a 16-4 run.

Blake Bozeman made 9 of 14 from the floor to total 22 points for Morgan State (2-14).
