The four consecutive free throws missed by North Carolina in the waning seconds of its Final Four game against Oregon had big implications for gamblers.
Most Las Vegas sports books set the over/under at 153.5, and the 77-76 final score came in just under the total after a nerve-wracking few minutes for bettors. Had either Joel Berry II or Kennedy Meeks made their free throws in the closing seconds, the total could have gone over.
The free throws also weighed on the point spread. North Carolina was favored by 4.5, a number they could have covered if they made those last shots.
