MALIBU, Calif. (AP) — Nikolas Skouen hit a jumper with 1:42 to play and Stacy Davis added a free throw with 2 seconds left, allowing Pepperdine to overtake Loyola Marymount for a 52-50 victory on Thursday night. Pepperdine (12-13, 4-8 West Coast) led 46-42 with 5:51 left in the game, but Loyola Marymount (8-17, 1-11) went on an 8-0 run to take a 50-46 lead with 3:31 left. The Lions would not score again, however. Jordan Baker scored 16 points to lead Pepperdine and Lorne Jackson added 11. Pepperdine converted 17 of 25 free throws, compared to just 9 of 12 for Loyola Marymount. Loyola Marymount's Anthony Ireland led all scorers with 26 points.
