Prior to his current post, Skretta spent four years in New York covering the Mets and Yankees, boxing and college basketball. He was born and raised in Iowa, has bachelor's degrees in journalism and history from Kansas State and a master's degree in sports business from New York University. He lives in Lenexa, Kan., with his wife, Kelly, and his Miniature Australian Shepherd, Walter.
