Kuakumensah, Spieth lead Brown past Cornell 86-80

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) — Cedric Kuakumensah and Steven Spieth scored 16 apiece to help Brown beat Cornell 86-80 Friday night.

JR Hobbie scored 15, all on 3-pointers, and Tavon Blackmon added 14 points for Brown. Kuakumensah, who made 7 of 10 field-goal attempts, finished with 12 rebounds and three blocked shots.

Kuakumensah and Hobbie hit back-to-back 3s to start an 8-0 run that gave Brown (7-12, 2-3 Ivy League) a 54-43 lead with 14:28 to play.
