FULLERTON, Calif. (AP) — Chris McNealy scored a season-high 21 points, including five 3-pointers, off the bench to lead UC Irvine to a 92-65 rout of Cal State-Fullerton on Thursday night. McNealy, who was 7 of 13 from the field, set his career high of 24 points against Fullerton last season. Daman Starring added 16 points for the Anteaters (10-9, 4-2 Big West), who shot 56.5 percent as a team. Kwame Vaughn led the Titans (10-7, 3-2) with 15 points, and Sammy Yeager had 12. Fullerton, which had its three-game winning streak snapped, was outrebounded 41-25 and shot 38 percent from the field. The outcome wasn't in doubt after the Anteaters rode a 29-9 run through most of the first half to lead 34-13 with 5:01 left before halftime. Irvine led 42-25 at the break and cruised from there. Fullerton leads 52-44 in the series between the schools, which dates to the 1965-66 season.
