SAN MARCOS, Texas (AP) — Anthony Miles scored 25 points and two other Lamar players posted double-doubles in the Cardinals' 81-65 victory at Texas State Wednesday night. Devon Lamb had 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Charlie Harper contributed 11 points and 12 rebounds for Lamar (19-11, 10-5), which moved into a tie with McNeese State for the lead in the Southland Conference's East Division. The Cardinals, who last won 20 games in a season in 1987-88, host McNeese State on Saturday in the final regular-season game for both teams. Mike James added 15 points for Lamar. The Cardinals never trailed and led by as many as 20 points. Matt Staff led Texas State (13-16, 5-10) with 17 points and 11 rebounds. John Bowman and Travis Jones scored 13 points apiece for the Bobcats.
