LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP) — New Mexico State University basketball coach has suspended senior Tyrone Watson, who has been accused of beating a man at a party Saturday night. In a statement posted on the team's web site, coach Marvin Menzies says Watson has been suspended indefinitely for a violation of team rules. The Las Cruces Sun-News reports (http://bit.ly/12cpVXU ) Watson has been identified by police as a suspect in the beating of 19-year-old Miguel Rascon, who was treated for facial fractures, a gash requiring 13 stitches and other cuts and bruises during a brawl at the party Saturday night. Witnesses said Watson grabbed Rascon and punched him in the face because he was dancing with his girlfriend. No charges have been filed. In a statement, Menzies called the allegations "shocking and disturbing" and said the school's investigation is ongoing.
