CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Willis Hall scored 18 points and Adjehi Baru added 13 points and 11 rebounds as College of Charleston defeated Georgia Southern 69-60 in a Southern Conference game Saturday. The Cougars (19-8, 11-4), who won for the seventh time in eight games, earned a split of their season series with the Eagles (11-16, 5-9). Georgia Southern held Charleston to its lowest output of the season when the Eagles won 51-47 on Jan. 17. Charleston led 61-38 with 7:51 remaining before a 3-pointer by Eric Ferguson started a 19-2 run that brought Georgia Southern to within six, 63-57, at the 1:38 mark. Layups by Anthony Stitt and Baru restored a 10-point margin. Stitt finished with 11 points. Ferguson scored 22 points for Georgia Southern and C.J. Reed added 16. Reed, who played his first three college seasons for Bethune-Cookman, now has 2,004 career points.
