When Colorado State guard Jesse Carr says he's from the middle of nowhere, he's not kidding.

Carr is from Ainsworth, Neb., a town of just 1,700 about 250 miles northwest of Omaha that proudly bills itself as "The Middle of Nowhere." There's a "Middle of Nowhere" festival each summer, "Middle of Nowhere" memorabilia.

There's even a sign outside of town welcoming folks to the Middle of Nowhere.

"It's pretty cool," Carr said. "It usually gets a couple of laughs out of people."
