AKRON, Ohio (AP) — Zeke Marshall scored 14 points and blocked five shots as Akron extended the nation's longest winning streak to 18 games with a 68-53 nonconference victory over North Dakota State on Friday night. Nick Harney added 13 points and Demetrius Treadwell had 11 points and 14 rebounds for the Zips (22-4), whose last loss came on Dec. 15, 80-73 at Detroit. Akron's streak is one game longer than that of Memphis, which hosts Southern Mississippi on Saturday, and matched Kansas' 18-game streak earlier this season. North Dakota State (20-8), which trailed 37-23 at halftime, used a 14-0 run to get within six, 47-41, with 7:35 to play. Lawrence Alexander scored six of his 19 points for the Bison during the run. A jumper by Marshall, followed by his block of an Alexander layup, started a 9-0 Akron streak that blunted the comeback. Mike Felt added 15 points for North Dakota State.
