BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (AP) — Stephon Carter scored 23 points and Donald Johnson had 21 as Cal State Bakersfield finished its season with a winning record by defeating Nebraska-Omaha 84-63 Saturday night.

Zach Lamb added 17 points and Issiah Grayson had 11 assists for the Roadrunners (16-14), who have played an independent schedule since becoming a Division I program in 2010.

CJ Carter and Alex Welhouse scored 16 points apiece for Nebraska-Omaha (11-17), which was swept by Bakersfield this season. John Karhoff added 10 points for the Mavericks.

Bakersfield never trailed, jumping out to a 14-2 lead en route to a 41-22 halftime advantage. Nebraska-Omaha never got closer than 13 points in the second half.
