There's a reason Michigan coach John Beilein was wearing a bowtie with the school's familiar logo on it.
Beilein and his staff took part in #BowtiesForJude day Sunday, when the 23rd-ranked Wolverines beat Rutgers 62-47. Back in November, Michigan "signed" 12-year-old Jude Stamper of Monroe to a letter of intent. Stamper was born with Arthrogryposis Multi-Congenital disorder with Escobar Syndrome. His condition prevents him from bending his joints normally.
"This young man, Jude Stamper, has just been a light of our lives," Beilein said. "He comes to practice, he smiles every day, he's got incredible challenges. Our kids love him."
