Joe Kay started with The Associated Press in 1980 in Cincinnati. He's covered the Pete Rose gambling scandal, Marge Schott’s volatile tenure as the Reds owner, Bob Huggins’ ascent and ouster at the University of Cincinnati, the Reds’ World Series championship in 1990, the Bengals’ two Super Bowl losses to San Francisco in the 1980s. He also has covered five Super Bowls, three World Series and three Olympics.
