Tuned in: ACC looks for boost with 2019 launch of TV channel

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — When Atlantic Coast Conference teams open the season this week, their games will air on several television platforms, from ABC and Fox to ESPNU and the CBS Sports Network.

A year from now, that list will also include the ACC's own channel.

Lewis scores 21, Alabama beats Appalachian St. 81-73

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) — Alabama coach Avery Johnson called it a mature performance as Kira Lewis scored 21 points in the second game of his career to lead Alabama to an 81-73 victory over Appalachian State on Sunday night.

Donta Hall added with 12 points and 12 rebounds. John Petty and Herbert Jones scored 13 and 10 points, respectively, for the Crimson Tide (2-0).
