Charleston holds off UNC Wilmington 80-76

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — Nick Harris slammed home a dunk with a minute remaining to give Charleston enough cushion to hold off UNC Wilmington 80-76 on Thursday night.

Charleston led throughout the second period but could never shake free of the Seahawks as Ty Taylor II and Jaylen Fornes drilled consecutive 3-pointers to close to 73-71 with 1:32 remaining. Harris took a feed from Joe Chealey and dunked with 1:02 left. Jarrell Brantley, Marquise Pointer and Chealey made five free throws in the closing seconds to seal the win.
